Our Systems and Software
Clearsy has already proven its expertise in various projects closely related to railway systems. Some of the systems created have already been tested in heavy traffic locations; others are being developed and will be operational on site within the next year.
Below is a list of these various products:
CaCoLac (Automatic Gap Filler Control System)This is an RATP (Parisian subway system) project. The gap filler is a sliding platform that fills the space between the platform and the subway (a type of footboard). CaCoLac controls the folding and unfolding of the gap filler by the single detection of the subway train via sensors. No human involvement is required. The B modeling of the system combined with the detection sequence concept fulfills SIL3 objectives related to potentially dangerous events (10-7 potentially dangerous events per hour) and an reliability rate treated in SIL2. The system will be fully operational by mid-2007. |

CoppilotCoppilot is a control system for landing doors. Associated with the landing doors installed on platforms, the objective of the system thus designed is to control traffic in busy subway stations and prevent travelers from accessing the tracks. This system has already been tested in the Invalides and Saint-Lazare subway stations on Line 13 in the Saint-Denis direction. |

COPP - Platform Screen Doors at the Paris-Châtillon StationThe COPP system controls the opening and closing of platform doors. This is managed independently from the train’s automatic driving mechanisms. COPP, thanks to sensors, observes a portion of the track area and analyzes the behaviour of trains travelling through stations. When appropriate conditions are present, it then orders the platform doors to open or close. To find out more...

Dof1 : System to Open and Close Platform Landing Doors,SIL3In the context of the automation project for Line 1 of the Parisian subway, the SIL3 DOF1 safety system, independent from the train automation system, has been designed to open and close the landing doors that will be installed on all the line’s platforms. DOF1 also prevents the opening of the train doors facing the side opposite to the platform. |

DPASThe DPAS is a system composed of an infrared transmitter and receiver for the purpose of detecting the passing of an object in front of its beam… This is a SIL4 level prototype that is currently being evaluated and has been tested in the Porte de Charenton station of the Paris subway system since November 2006. |

KFS SIL2: SIL2 Signal Crossing Prevention SystemThe KFS SIL2 system is composed of a track side beacon, an on-board sensor, and an on-board electronic unit. The KFS beacon, installed on the track between the rails, is connected with the signal (light). The beacon transmits information to the KFS sensor when a train crosses the red signal. This information is analysed by the electronic unit (KFS Block) which controls the emergency breaking. The KFS beacon is functionally equivalent to the RPS beacon and may be proposed separately. KFS system SIL2 certification is ongoing. |

Kpva, a product in partnership with TLTIThe KPVA is an independent speed point control system. This is a system integrated into a track antenna that measures the train's speed with a DOPPLER radar. Should the speed limit be exceeded, the KPVA orders the train to stop with an onboard RPS system and thereby secures its speed. |

Val de Roissy - Safety Software with the B MethodSiemens Transportation Systems (STS) has subcontracted to ClearSy the realization with B of safety software for the VAL de ROISSY automatisms recently implemented: the alarm control unit (UCA) and the automatic section pilots (PADS). This software represents a final total of approximately 150,000 lines and is classified as SIL4 pursuant to the IEC61508 standard: EN50126, EN50128, EN 50129. |
